Mark D. Allison of Caplin & Drysdale Chtd. said it's tempting when interacting with an auditor who's unfamiliar with the applicable rules and statutes to make things difficult for him, but he said he finds issues are resolved much more quickly and smoothly if he takes the time to educate the auditor.
